The RoleDripComm is seeking a PR Media Manager / PR Media Specialist who lives, eats, and breathes earned media.This role is for a pitching-first publicist — someone who is deeply tapped into culture, understands the media ecosystem in real time, and knows exactly who to pitch, how to pitch them, and why an angle will land.You will work under the direction of a Senior PR Strategist (Account Lead) or senior leadership, owning the development and execution of high-performing media pitches across product, feature, talent, and cultural storylines.This is not a passive support role. This is the person who knows:which editors just changed beatswho just got a new position or went freelancewhat columns are actively runningwhich producers are booking talentwhat angles are tired — and what’s emergingKey ResponsibilitiesPitching & Media Outreach (Primary Focus) • Lead day-to-day pitching across approved strategies and campaigns • Develop smart, timely, highly targeted pitch angles rooted in culture and news cycles • Customize outreach based on editor voice, beat, outlet priorities, and timing • Maintain consistent follow-up and relationship-building with media contacts • Pitch across formats including print, digital, broadcast, podcasts, newsletters, and social-led media • Identify celebrity, founder, and expert interview opportunitiesMedia Intelligence & Cultural Pulse • Stay deeply informed on media shifts, layoffs, beat changes, new columns, and emerging voices • Track who is writing what, where, and why — and flag opportunities proactively • Monitor cultural moments, trends, and conversations relevant to client narratives • Share real-time media insights and pitching recommendations with the account teamMedia Lists & Relationship Management • Build, maintain, and evolve highly targeted media lists • Cultivate relationships with editors, writers, producers, and freelancers • Identify new and under-the-radar media opportunitiesPress Materials & Execution Support • Draft and refine pitch language, press releases, and supporting materials • Coordinate samples, assets, and information needed to support pitches • Support prestige award submissions and long-lead opportunitiesReporting & Collaboration • Track outreach, responses, and placements • Contribute to coverage recaps and reporting • Participate in brainstorms, bringing pitch-led ideas and media insights • Attend select client calls when prompted by the Senior PR StrategistWhat You’ll Bring• 4-7+ years of experience in public relations or earned media • A true passion for pitching and media relationships • Deep familiarity with the beauty, wellness, lifestyle, culture, and celebrity media landscape • Strong instincts for what makes an angle timely, relevant, and publishable • Excellent writing skills with the ability to tailor tone by outlet and editor • An obsessive curiosity about media, culture, and storytelling • Strong organization and follow-through • Comfort executing within defined strategy while contributing proactive ideasTools & PlatformsFamiliarity with tools such as: • MuckRack, Cision, or similar media databases • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) • Affiliate platforms (Awin, Skimlinks, etc.) a plus • Coverage tracking and reporting toolsWhat This Role Is — and Is NotThis role is: • A pitching-led earned media role • Deeply embedded in culture and media intelligence • Responsible for day-to-day outreach and momentumThis role is not: • The primary client point of contact • Responsible for setting high-level account strategy • A senior account leadership or management roleOur Core ValuesAt DripComm, we show up with: • Urgency – We move fast, with intention • Enthusiasm – We lead with passion and possibility • Positivity – We approach challenges with curiosity and care • Excellence – We deliver our best, always • Extreme Ownership – We take responsibility for our work • Creativity – We think beyond the brief • Inclusivity – Diverse perspectives drive cultural relevanceWe’re looking for someone who doesn’t just know the earned media game — but shows up with heart, hustle, and cultural fluency.Details• Part-time / fractional role • Must be based in NYC or LA • Occasional in-person support may be required • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and scope ($55–$70/hour)
