We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.\n\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\nWe are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our fast-growing data security startup. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize the infrastructure and automation that power our platform. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to ensure our environments are secure, scalable, resilient, and highly automated, enabling us to deliver best-in-class data protection solutions for modern enterprises.\nThis is a high-impact position where you’ll help establish DevOps best practices, shape our cloud-native architecture, and influence key technical decisions as we scale.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nInfrastructure & Automation\nDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with a focus on security, high availability, and scalability.\nBuild and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.\nAutomate provisioning, configuration, and deployment pipelines across development, staging, and production environments.\nCI/CD & Release Engineering\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).\nImplement automated testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows.\nImprove release velocity while ensuring reliability and compliance.\nSecurity & Compliance\nEmbed security into infrastructure and deployment practices (“DevSecOps”).\nImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting for security events and system performance.\nCollaborate with security teams to meet compliance requirements (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).\nReliability & Observability\nOwn uptime, performance, and scalability of services in production.\nImplement observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.).\nDrive incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term system improvements.\nCollaboration & Culture\nWork cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams.\nEvangelize DevOps best practices and contribute to a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.\nDocument infrastructure, processes, and runbooks for internal teams.\n\nRequirements:\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or similar roles.\nStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).\nExperience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nSolid understanding of networking, security principles, and Linux systems.\nStrong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nClearance eligible\n\nCOMPENSATION INFORMATION:\nCompensation Range: $160,000-$200,000.\nThe range represents total compensation, and may include incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.\nThis compensation range represents Cyera’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
