Senior Accountant – SEC Reporting & Technical AccountingLocation - Andover, MA areaCompensation: $110K–125K base + bonusReports To: Senior Manager, SEC ReportingWe are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to join their corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional coming from either a straight public accounting background or a mix of public accounting and industry experience who is looking to further develop SEC reporting and technical accounting expertise within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.This position will support the preparation of external financial reporting, SEC filings, technical accounting research, and compliance activities while partnering cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and external auditors.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, along with financial statement footnotes, supporting schedules, and disclosure documentationPerform tie-outs, disclosure checklist procedures, quality control reviews, and support XBRL tagging and filing coordinationPrepare audit support schedules, maintain organized workpapers, and assist with external auditor requests and walkthroughsResearch and interpret U.S. GAAP guidance and assist in preparing technical accounting memos and supporting analysesSupport implementation of new accounting standards and assist with accounting analysis related to revenue recognition, equity compensation, leases, restructurings, and potential M&A activitySupport administration and accounting for equity programs including RSUs and ESPP plans, along with valuation support for performance-based equity awardsAssist with lease accounting under ASC 842 and execute SOX controls related to external financial reporting and disclosuresPartner cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, Tax, and Accounting teams to support reporting timelines, quarterly close activities, and earnings reporting processesIdentify opportunities to improve reporting processes, documentation, efficiency, and overall reporting accuracyQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field4+ years of progressive accounting experienceFoundational understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial statement reportingExperience within public accounting or a combination of public accounting and industry experiencePreferred QualificationsExposure to SEC reporting including 10-Ks and 10-QsCPA or CPA eligible strongly preferredExperience with technical accounting research and memo preparationExperience working within a Big 4-audited environmentExposure to equity accounting, lease accounting, or public company reporting processes is a plusIf you are interested in this opportunity, please send your resume to Dalton Rolli at drolli@kbwfinancial.com for immediate consideration.KBW789
