{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"9fffaad2006dced768aca921","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9fffaad2006dced768aca921","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9fffaad2006dced768aca921","title":"2nd Shift DC Maintenance Tech II","description":"2nd Shift Mon - Fri 2:00pm to 10:00pm\nPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & FUNCTIONS: (Important: both Essential and Marginal functions must equal 100%)\nAverage % of Time Essential/Marginal Functions DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nM Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled facility maintenance activities including patching and painting walls, patching floors, replacing lights, repair racking, office furniture moves and setups and other facilities related tasks.\nE Under minimal supervision perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities to include troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on conveyor equipment.\n5% E Document all work order activities including labor, parts and inventory used and closing of work orders to provide documented records of the maintenance performed.\n5% E Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.\n5% M Complete pass down logs to inform co-workers of the operational status of the facilities.\n5% E Troubleshoot and repair controls, process controllers, control cabinets, power supplies and all other field devices associated with the conveyor system.\n5% E Use system software to troubleshoot, trend and monitor conveyor equipment.\nDevelop and implement innovative ideas to increase productivity and/or reliability.\nEnter data in the computerized maintenance management system.\nPerform minor electrical work such as running conduit and pulling wire.\nPerform analytical tests on the various conveyor systems and document results.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the required qualifications an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.\nEducation/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma\n4-6 years industrial maintenance experience with conveyors, controls and operating systems of a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.\nExperience working around pneumatics, AC/DC motor skills and industrial electrical systems\nREQUIRED COMPETENCIES: The following are the required competencies an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.\nSkills/Knowledge/Behavior: Refer to Competencies Table for Appropriate job level competencies.\nFunctional Competencies:\nAbility to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics and blueprints\nKnowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings\nAbility to work with high and low voltage, AC and DC\nProven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting\nKnowledge of Automatic Identification systems (Laser Scanning Devices).\nExperience working effectively under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities\nRegarded as a system expert in at least one area (i.e. Pick Module, VAS, Shipping Sorter)\nHighly motivated, a team player and a self-starter\nWork as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a cooperative constructive manner\nDemonstrated leadership skills with the ability to positively influence others\nStrong project planning and project management skills\nDemonstrated ability to expedite several projects simultaneously\nKnowledge of OSHA compliance is a plus\nConversational Spanish skills a plus\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets\nExperience in using Microsoft Outlook and Word programs\nMulti-task in a fast paced work environment that has a strong customer focus\nCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:\nValid Drivers License\nFork Lift Certification\nPhysical DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
