{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"9fe656ad1fc4e092c29f9a18","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9fe656ad1fc4e092c29f9a18","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9fe656ad1fc4e092c29f9a18","title":"Power Distribution Engineer","description":"Electrical Engineering Manager at NASA, Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) /Facilities Maintenance and Operations Support Services contract, located in Pasadena, CA.\nDuties/Responsibilities:\nRepresent Client’s Electrical Engineering team at meetings with NASA JBL officials and personnel.\nDirect oversight of supervising the electrical engineering team, maintenance program, distribution system, and management.\nOversee all electrical outage coordination, emergencies, and restoration.\nWorks closely with Maintenance Manager and Space Flight Operations Facility Manager on site wide and after-hours electrical distribution issues at NASA JPL facilities.\nProvide onboarding and training curriculums for new and existing staff on the Electrical Engineering team policies and procedures.\nCoordinate arc flash studies, predictive testing and inspection on electrical infrastructure on NASA JBL facilities.\nOversee annual reviews and revisions of electrical engineering operating procedures and corrective actions plans.\nRecommend operational improvements and communication systems.\nServe as back-up for the Space Flight Operations Facilities Manager as needed.\nResponsible for ensuring the day-to-day preventive maintenance and repairs on NASA JPL electrical program are performed on time and meets contract deliverables.\nEnsures that Client’s electrical engineering team maintains accurate plant operations logbooks on all critical electrical equipment and emergency generators, that documents daily rounds in NASA JBL facilities.\nProvide support to the Space Flight Operations Facility Manager in ensuring SFOF Building Automation System/Power Control Console Operator are initiating flash reports for all facility infrastructure interruptions and critical equipment breakdowns.\nProvides field updates to Client’s management team, NASA JPL officials and personnel when facility infrastructure is restored, or critical repairs are made.\nEducation and Experience:\nMust be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a federal government clearance.\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Data Operations and Management) experience required.\nCertified Safety Professional or Industrial Hygienist required.\n15 years of Electrical Engineering experience required.\n15 years of experience with power/UPS distribution systems for critical facilities.\nExcellent time management and organizational skills.\nAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and complete work assignments in a timely manner.\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $140,000.00 -
