We are driven by collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in every project we manage.Role OverviewThe Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial management of construction projects across New York City. This role works closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, cost control, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are vital to success in this position.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. Monitor project budgets and identify variances, providing financial insights to project teams. Prepare and maintain project financial reports. Manage subcontractor billing, pay applications, contracts and lien waivers. Review and process invoices, change orders, and expense reports. Utilize Procore for financial tracking, reporting, and documentation management. Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure financial alignment with project goals.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 4+ years of accounting experience, with experience in construction or project accounting. Strong proficiency in Procore, including the Financial Management tools, is required. Advanced knowledge of construction accounting principles and job costing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.
