Job Description Part-Time Certified Surgical Technician / Sterile Processing TechnicianTenafly Surgery Center is seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time Certified Surgical Technician who is also able to assist with sterile processing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will support the surgical team during procedures while also ensuring proper cleaning, sterilization, and processing of surgical instruments and equipment.Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical proceduresAssist surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff during proceduresPerform surgical counts according to policyClean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and store surgical instruments and traysOperate and monitor sterilization equipment according to policy and manufacturer guidelinesMaintain accurate sterilization and biological testing logsEnsure compliance with infection control, OSHA, and aseptic technique standardsAssist with room turnover and preparation for casesMaintain organization and cleanliness of the operating room and sterile processing areaReport equipment or supply issues promptlyRequirements:Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferredSterile processing experience requiredKnowledge of sterilization procedures, infection control, and aseptic techniquePrevious ambulatory surgery center or operating room experience preferredStrong organizational, communication, and teamwork skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced surgical environmentFlexible availability preferredPosition Details:Part-time positionAmbulatory Surgery Center settingCompetitive pay based on experiencePlease submit your resume for consideration.
