In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and qualify sophisticated analytical instrumentation used in laboratories throughout your assigned territory.\nThis is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working independently, and building relationships with customers.\nAvailable Openings (3):\n(1) Organic Chemistry Field Service Engineer (Minneapolis)\nSupport analytical instruments including:\nHPLC / UHPLC\nGas Chromatography (GC)\nLC-MS / GC-MS\nChromatography systems\n(2) Inorganic Chemistry Field Service Engineer (Minneapolis & Seattle)\nSupport analytical instruments including:\nICP-MS\nICP-OES\nAtomic Absorption (AA)\nSpectroscopy and elemental analysis systems\nWhat You'll Do\nTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain analytical laboratory equipment.\nPerform preventative maintenance and operational qualifications.\nInstall new instrumentation and train customers on proper operation.\nDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues.\nDocument service activities and maintain accurate records.\nManage parts inventory and company-issued tools.\nBuild long-term relationships with laboratory personnel and customers.\nTravel throughout your assigned territory to support customer sites.\nWhat a Typical Week Looks Like\nApproximately 50% of your time will be spent performing preventative maintenance and equipment qualification.\nPerform installations, upgrades, and emergency repairs.\nTravel throughout your region, with occasional overnight stays.\nManage your own calendar and customer schedule with minimal oversight.\nQualifications\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting or maintaining analytical laboratory instrumentation.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools.\nExcellent communication and customer-facing skills.\nValid driver's license and ability to travel.\nPreferred:\nPrior field service experience supporting laboratory instrumentation.\nExperience with chromatography, spectroscopy, or mass spectrometry systems.\nExperience in pharmaceutical, environmental, food and beverage, or industrial laboratories.\nWho Succeeds in This Role\nThe strongest candidates are curious, mechanically inclined problem solvers who enjoy autonomy and customer interaction.
