To be considered for this opportunity you will have 7+ years of relevant experience (battery or energy storage systems experience is a plus).Job DutiesAs part of our BMS Hardware & Electrical System team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of PCBA design - from requirements generation, component selection, schematic & layout development, release through vendor DFM, bring up, and verification.Work cross-functionally with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver PCBAs that meet the highest safety and compliance standards.Responsible for the full lifecycle of PCBA design - from requirements generation, component selection, schematic & layout development, design release through vendor DFM, bring up, verification, configuration management, sustainingEnsure PCBA designs meet safety, reliability, and compliance standards for high power and hazardous systemsCreate requirements, DFMEA/CFMEA, electrical block diagrams, simulations, analysis, schematics, layouts, bring-up/test plans, and 8 Discipline (8D) reportsWork cross functionally with System Engineering, Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical, Firmware/Software, & Test/Verification teams to define, design, & test PCBAs and resolve Electrical System related issuesSupport troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of released PCBA designsDocument Design Concepts, Architecture, Block Diagrams, Bring-Up/Test Results, Root Cause Investigations, and Decision Matrices.Knowledge/Skills/Education/ExperienceBachelor\"s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience (battery or energy storage systems experience is a plus); OR Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.Proficiency in PCBA design ECAD SW Altium or equivalentHands-on experience with sensors, power electronics (high voltage, high power, AC, SMPS, LDO), processing (MCU, MPU, SOM), networking (Ethernet, CAN-FD, isoSPI), on board communication (SPI, UART, I2C, JTAG), data acquisition (IO, ADC, DAC), and control systems (gate drivers, motor drivers, HSD)Strong understanding of safety and compliance considerations in high-power and/or chemical environmentsDemonstrated experience designing PCBAs and Electrical Systems to UL 991, 1973, 9540, 1998 requirementsExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance speed, rigor, and safetyFamiliarity with the SW including PLM (e.g. Arena or Team Center), product development SW (e.g. JIRA) and requirement management tools (e.g. JAMA)Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.Belcan is an equal opportunity employer.
