This role is critical in ensuring all equipment, facilities, and systems are operating safely and efficiently to provide an excellent experience for our guests and team members.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical maintenance, and general facility repairs, with a strong focus on minimizing downtime and maintaining brand standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, kitchen equipment (fryers, ovens, refrigeration), and facility components.\nDiagnose and repair issues related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.\nTroubleshoot equipment failures quickly to minimize operational downtime.\nConduct repairs on lighting, electrical outlets, breakers, thermostats, and basic wiring.\nEnsure proper operation of walk-in coolers/freezers and maintain required temperature standards.\nComplete general facility maintenance including minor carpentry, painting, and plumbing repairs.\nRespond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.\nMaintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service logs.\nEnsure all work complies with safety, health, and food safety regulations (including KFC standards and local codes).\nPartner with restaurant leadership (RGM/AC) to prioritize repairs and maintain operational readiness.\nSupport new equipment installations, vendor coordination, and preventative maintenance scheduling.\nQualifications & Skills\nExperience in HVAC maintenance and repair (EPA certification preferred).\nStrong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration systems.\nBasic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills (high and low voltage).\nGeneral knowledge of plumbing, mechanical systems, and facility maintenance.\nAbility to read and interpret basic schematics, manuals, and technical instructions.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently across multiple locations (travel may be required).\nStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical team members.\nKnowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements in a restaurant environment.\nFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience in QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or retail maintenance.\nEPA Certification (Type I/II or Universal).\nExperience working with vendors and service providers.\nFamiliarity with preventative maintenance programs and reporting systems.\nWhy Join Us?\nJoin our team and play a key role in keeping our restaurants running at their best.
