Conform to ISO requirements by complying with quality procedures and meeting quality objectives.\nEnsure drawings and documents are reviewed, released and placed in the SolidWorks vault to current revision and all associated metadata is correct.\nComply with procedure to record and manage time per project.\nPerform job duties associated with Designer and/or CAD Drafter if required.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nConsiderable knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices involved in the design of mechanical systems.\nConsiderable knowledge of equipment and materials required for the efficient operation of a mechanical\nConsiderable knowledge of the terminology, methods, practices, and techniques of mechanical engineering.\nConsiderable knowledge of DFM and DFA procedures.\nAbility to prepare designs and specifications for material and equipment needs of mechanical systems.\nAbility to prepare, set up and run extensive short and long term tests.\nAbility to prepare sketches and/or models, data reports, and instructions.\nAbility to understand and efficiently carry out complex written and oral instructions.\nAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with company personnel.\nSkill in the design and preparation of drawings and specifications.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s of Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent military technical training.\nAt least five years of engineering related experience in a business supporting heavy manufacturing.\nAt least five years of experience with SolidWorks.\nMust be proficient in use of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.\nMust be an energetic self-starter and have a strong sense of urgency; and capable of following tasks through to completion.\nKEY COMPETENCIES\nCritical thinking and problem-solving skills\nPlanning and organizing\nMaintain confidentiality at all levels for the president, team members and the company.\nExceptional Communication skills\nProven experience in people management\nDecision maker\nSupervisory Responsibility – this position does not have supervisory responsibilities.\nWork Environment – this job operates in a shop environment where tools and other machinery is used.\nPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work -This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
