{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"9f68e052d2979c27a6e94f5a","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9f68e052d2979c27a6e94f5a","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9f68e052d2979c27a6e94f5a","title":"Building Code Administrator","description":"Position: Building Code Administrator SALARY: PTS Salary Schedule: Pay Grade E07; 12-month Position; Annual Salary: $84,884\r\nQualifications Must hold an active license with the Florida Department of Professional Regulation (DBPR) as a Building Code Administrator (BCA).\r\nPreferred Qualifications Related experience in management within a governmental agency.\r\nExperience in state, federal and local laws, regulations and policies; public school facilities planning; and current building codes.\r\nExperience in and ability to manage people and projects.\r\nWriting and negotiation of construction and professional service contracts.\r\nBudgeting and cost estimating.\r\nPlan, organize and prioritize activities related to work assignments.\r\nCommunicate effectively.\r\nEssential Responsibilities Provide building code administration support as outlined in School Board Policy 7101.\r\nCoordinate plan review and inspections of new construction, remodel and renovation projects throughout the district to meet the requirements of the Florida Building Code, Department of Education (DOE) design standards, district design standards and approved construction documents and specifications.\r\nProvide technical support and code interpretation for the Coordinator, Building & Fire Code in relation to the Florida Building Code.\r\nCoordinate plan review services for approved shop drawings for compliance with technical codes and design standards.\r\nMake recommendations for process improvements to administration in relation to the Code Compliance & Environmental Safety.\r\nPrepare detailed reports of inspection findings and coordinate necessary re-inspections with contractors, appropriate Facilities Department staff, and Maintenance Supervisors.\r\nIssue the Annual Facilities Maintenance Permit and monitor/inspect all work associated with the annual Facilities Maintenance Permit.\r\nProvide appropriate Facilities Department staff with interpretations of the Florida Building Code.\r\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\r\nTerms of Employment Salary and benefits will be paid consistent with the district's approved compensation plan. The district shall establish the length of the work year and hours of employment. Performance of the job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the school board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
