D498 works as a team with D453 Mechanical Design to complete Change Notices (CNs) to resolve design issues with Columbia Mechanical products. D498 also works closely with the Electric Boat shipyard to support construction of Mechanical systems on the Columbia Class submarines, and processes CNs to provide technical resolution of construction problems. D498 works with many different vendors who are building mechanical components and systems to provide technical oversight of these vendors and resolve technical problems that occur during vendor construction and testing of these components.\r\nRole OverviewThe person filling this role will be responsible for project- managing D498s CN work to support meeting department and company CN goals , while properly prioritizing CN work to support the needs of the shipyard and vendors.
