Regional EHS Specialist (Stone Mountain)

Position SummaryThe Regional EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across multiple locations within an assigned region. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a strong safety culture and reducing workplace risk.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary EHS point of contact for assigned regional facilitiesEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulationsConduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments; track and close corrective actionsDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programsLead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actionsSupport emergency preparedness planning and response activitiesDeliver EHS training (new hire, refresher, and specialized safety training)Monitor and report key EHS metrics (injury rates, near misses, environmental data)Partner with operations and leadership to integrate safety into daily activitiesManage regulatory reporting, permits, and documentationSupport workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programsTravel regularly to regional sites as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field3–5 years of EHS experience, preferably in a multi-site or regional roleStrong working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulationsExperience conducting audits, investigations, and trainingExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to influence and engage employees at all levelsProficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management systemsPreferred QualificationsProfessional certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM)Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or industrial environmentsFamiliarity with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standardsPhysical & Travel RequirementsAbility to walk manufacturing or industrial sites and wear required PPETravel up to 60% depending on regionWork EnvironmentThis role operates in both office and field environments and requires flexibility to support multiple locations with varying operational needs.
