In this role, you will learn essential, career-developing skills from an established team of engineers. You will gain exposure to various project types and work with clients in both the private and public sectors. As an aspiring engineer, you will see many aspects of Structural Engineering and build upon your technical ability.\n\nIn this role, you can expect to perform the following tasks. This is not an exhaustive list:\nAssist with design drawings, specifications, calculation packages, reports, and other project deliverables.\nPerform structural analysis and design calculations for structural steel, concrete, wood, masonry, and other materials to complete project documents.\nPerform construction administration duties such as reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and site observations.\nProduce drawings utilizing AutoCAD or Revit.\nAccompany engineers on site visits to view ongoing company projects.\nAttend client meetings and represent the civil interests of the firm.\n\nWe require:\nEnrollment in a Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-Accredited program.\nExcellent interpersonal & communication skills. Connections are a critical part of how we work.\n\nWe like to see:\n12-18 hours of Civil or Architectural engineering courses\nExposure to AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. Other relevant programs could include Revit, E-Tabs, RISA, or Bluebeam.\n\nPhysical Demands\nThis position is primarily sedentary with long periods of sitting, but occasional walking and lifting up to 25lbs may occur. Occasionally bending, squatting, and reaching overhead may also occur. Additionally, extensive computer usage is required daily.\n\nBenefits\nThis is a temporary position with no medical benefits or paid time off (PTO).
