This role focuses on the design, development, and validation of electrical systems used in mobility vehicle platforms, including power systems, embedded controls, and integrated vehicle electronics.The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in working within regulated, safety-critical product environments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe essential functions listed below represent the primary duties of the position. Duties may vary based on assignment and business needs.Design, develop, and maintain electrical and electronic systems for mobility vehicle productsCreate schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and system-level architecturesSupport integration of electrical components into vehicle platforms (e.g., motors, actuators, control modules, sensors)Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineeringDevelop and execute validation and verification test plansTroubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues during prototype and production phasesSupport compliance with automotive and safety standards (e.g., ISO, SAE, FMVSS, etc.)Assist in transitioning designs from prototype to full productionDocument engineering designs, test results, and change recordsDrive continuous improvement in product performance, reliability, and cost efficiencyRequirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experienceStrong experience with:Analog and digital circuit designEmbedded systems and microcontrollersPower electronics and motor control systemsProficiency with SolidWorks & ECAD toolsExperience reading and creating wiring harness drawings and schematicsHands-on troubleshooting skills using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, etc.)Familiarity with vehicle electrical architectures (12V/24V systems preferred)Strong understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principlesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work onsite in Phoenix, AZ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in automotive, mobility, or transportation-related industriesKnowledge of CAN bus, LIN, or other vehicle communication protocolsExperience with functional safety or regulatory compliance standardsBackground working in regulated manufacturing environmentsExperience supporting production and sustaining engineering activities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines WORK ENVIRONMENTAble to sit for long periods of time FrequentlyAble to stand for long periods of time FrequentlyAble to effectively operate CAD system ConstantlyAble to communicate effectively in all media ConstantlyWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be temporarily exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts when needed on the production floor.
