Job Title: Radiation Therapist Location: Manahawkin, NJ Duration: 3 Months + with possible extension Travel Pay - $2856.96 weekly gross (Negotiable) Pay Rate: $69 - $70/hr. Job Summary: Responsible for delivering ionizing radiation treatments to patients in accordance with Radiation Oncologist prescriptions and simulation instructions. Ensures safe, accurate treatment delivery while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation. Key Responsibilities:Deliver and monitor radiation therapy treatments using prescribed protocolsOperate Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator and utilize ARIA systemPrepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patients for proceduresPosition and transfer patients accurately for treatment deliveryObtain and evaluate portal images; implement corrective actions as neededPerform dose calculations and monitor units as per protocolDocument treatment details, setup instructions, and patient records accuratelyEnsure informed consent and educate patients on proceduresConstruct immobilization devices, shielding blocks, and apply bolus as requiredMaintain treatment schedules in coordination with patient flowPerform and document quality assurance procedures as per department policiesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentMonitor equipment functionality and report malfunctionsSupport patient care needs and provide education to patients and familiesAssist in training and mentoring students when required Qualifications & Skills:Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy ProgramARRT certification in Radiation TherapyActive New Jersey Radiation Therapist license1–2 years of Radiation Therapy experience (flexible up to 3–5 years)Experience with Varian/ARIA softwareCPR CertificationStrong knowledge of radiation safety, treatment delivery, and patient careAbility to lift/push/pull 25 lbs. and stand for extended periodsPrior outpatient or clinic experience
