This role supports DTCC's multi ? year enterprise modernization program and focuses on the Participant Fund system, which enables Market Risk teams to monitor and manage DTC liquidity controlsdirectly contributing to the stability, resilience, and integrity of the clearing ecosystem.This is a hands ? on engineering role where you will work on complex backend systems, contribute to modern architecture and design decisions, and help transition legacy platforms to scalable, resilient, cloud ? ready solutions, partnering closely with other engineers, product partners, and platform teams.Your Primary Responsibilities :Design, develop, enhance, and support backend services using Java and Spring BootContribute to system design and architecture discussions, with a focus on scalable and resilient solutionsBuild and support cloud ? ready applications as part of ongoing modernization and migration initiativesCollaborate with platform, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to support deployments and operational readinessParticipate in migration activities such as environment readiness, validation, and post ? migration supportProvide production support, troubleshooting issues and participating in incident resolution as neededContribute to end ? to ? end feature delivery, from design and development through deployment and stabilizationFollow and promote engineering standards, coding best practices, and continuous improvementCollaborate closely with other engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the teamQualificationsMinimum 6-8 years of related experience.Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experienceTalent Needed for SuccessStrong, hands ? on experience developing backend applications in JavaExperience with Spring / Spring Boot for API and service developmentWorking knowledge of cloud environments, with an emphasis on AWS conceptsExperience working in Unix/Linux environmentsExperience with relational databases such as Postgres (Aurora) or similar enterprise platformsExposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Familiarity with messaging platforms such as KafkaUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts and collaboration with DevOps teamsAbility to learn complex systems and understand business and risk ? driven requirementsStrong communication skills and a collaborative, team ? oriented mindsetPreferred SkillsExperience supporting applications in AWSExposure to Snowflake or data ? centric platformsFamiliarity with enterprise security concepts such as IAM, secrets management, or certificate usageExperience working in Agile delivery environmentsUI exposure using Angular (nice to have)Experience supporting regulated or mission ? critical systemsInterest in application modernization, cloud migration, and continuous improvementThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
