This is a remote position.\nBe a part of an agile team to provide the U.S Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 with agile, innovative, customer focused, and cost-effective integrated enterprise IT support services in support of the USACE vision of engineering solutions for the Nation’s toughest challenges.\nResponsibilities include but are not limited to:\nDesigning, implementing, and managing cloud-based computing solutions and infrastructure for CASTLE-NET projects\nEnsuring high availability, reliability, optimized performance, and robust security of cloud-based applications.\nFocuses on vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vRealize Suite to manage virtualized environments.\nManaging VMware Cloud Foundation, Private Cloud to Public Cloud migration, and hybrid cloud networking (HCX).\nCollaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and IT leadership for seamless integration and alignment with objectives.\nDeliver world-class IT services and responsive, dependable customer support.\nExceed the expectations of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 IT end-users.\nDeliver vital solutions and strengthen the IT foundation with secure, innovative, and modernized technological solutions.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nRequires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field and 8 or more years of cloud engineering experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree +2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience is acceptable.\nPossesses excellent understanding of cloud infrastructure components, scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).\nRequires strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nPossess relevant certifications (Preferred: VCP-Cloud Management and Automation (VCP-CMA), VCP-DCV. Minimum Acceptable certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Architect)\nPossesses experience with Docker or Kubernetes.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with USACE or other federal agency cloud infrastructures and policies\nDemonstrates excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, and maintains currency with industry trends and best practices.\nHave strong problem-solving and analytical skills and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nClearance Requirements:\nMust be a US Citizen and possess a Secret security clearance prior to starting this position.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
