They are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their growing Hardware Engineering team and contribute to the design of cutting-edge embedded hardware and PCBAs for advanced communications products.This is an excellent opportunity for engineers ranging from mid-level through to senior, offering exposure to full product development from concept through production alongside multidisciplinary teams including FPGA, RF, Software and Mechanical Engineering.What you'll be doingDesign mixed-signal electronic hardware and multi-layer PCBs for advanced communication systemsPerform component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout using industry best practicesDefine PCB stack-ups, materials and design rules to optimise performance and manufacturabilityDesign power distribution and power management circuitryDevelop hardware incorporating high-speed digital interfaces including USB, Ethernet, I2C and RS232Support hardware bring-up, debugging, validation and root cause analysis using laboratory test equipmentWork closely with FPGA, RF, Software and PCB Design teams throughout the product lifecycleEnsure designs meet signal integrity, EMI and reliability requirementsContribute to new product development and continuous improvement initiativesWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline2-8+ years' experience in electronics or mixed-signal hardware designExperience designing multi-layer PCBs and schematic captureKnowledge of power supply and power management designExperience with high-speed digital interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, I2C and RS232Comfortable using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers and other electronic test equipmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teamsDesirable experienceAltium DesignerXilinx FPGA or SoC hardwareHigh-speed PCB design and HDI routingAudio and/or video circuitry including codecsEMI/EMC design and complianceMATLAB, Python or CFCC, CE or MIL-STD compliance experienceWhat's on offerSalary from $100,000 - $180,000 depending on experienceHybrid working (3 days per week onsite in West Los Angeles)Annual bonusComprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage401(k) with company matchGenerous PTO and paid holidaysRelocation assistance availableOpportunity to work on genuinely cutting-edge communications technology supporting critical applicationsPlease note: Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
