Below is important information about this position.Position DetailsWest Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seek a Maternal Fetal Medicine physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice in South Charleston, WV.ResponsibilitiesPractice in maternal fetal medicineProvide excellent patient careEngage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellowsQualificationsMD or DO degree or foreign equivalentEligibility for state medical licenseCompleted an ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residencyCompleted a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowshipBoard certified or eligible in MFM by the American Board of Obstetrics and GynecologyAll qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.About the Department and InstitutionThe department supports outreach obstetrical programs across over 20 hospitals, active maternal transport, and MFM consulting services with onsite ultrasound. An accredited Cytogenetics Laboratory is available for prenatal diagnosis.WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, with 18 hospitals, including J.W Ruby Memorial Hospital, a 700+ bed academic medical center.
