Top-tier firm + career growthImpactful grid modernization workAbout Our ClientWe are seeking a Distribution Engineer to support a growing portfolio of electric utility distribution projects across North Carolina. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and execution of overhead and underground distribution systems ranging from 4kV to 35kV.You'll work alongside a highly respected engineering team delivering reliable, modernized power infrastructure for major utility clients.Job DescriptionDesign and develop overhead and underground distribution systems (4kV-35kV)Perform line routing, voltage drop, and load calculationsCreate construction packages including plan & profile drawings, BOMs, and specificationsUtilize tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and GIS platformsConduct field data collection, site visits, and constructability reviewsSupport storm hardening, grid modernization, and reliability improvement projectsCoordinate with utilities, municipalities, and internal engineering teamsEnsure designs meet NESC, NEC, and utility standardsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
