The candidate must exhibit a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles, theories, typical applications, codes, standards, published recommendations, and concepts associated with the mechanical engineering as required to complete project or system designs. The Mechanical Engineer III will be under the responsible charge of the Mechanical Engineer of Record for each project and will aid in leading and delegating engineering and design tasks required for the completion of the project. This shall include the development of the mechanical project deliverables and associated engineering analysis and calculations, which shall include:\n● Equipment sizing, specification, and selection\n● Mechanical system analysis (e.g., flow, pipe stress, vibration, pulsation, heat transfer, temperature control, etc.)\n● Generation and documentation of supporting calculations\n● Equipment layout\n● Pipe sizing, specification, and layout\n● Cross discipline coordination\n● Participation in project related meetings\n● Data acquisition to support essential design functions\n● Development of drawing packages that contain but is not limited to the following:\n· Site plans depicting locations of mechanical equipment locations and associated pipe routing\n· Mechanical equipment and piping plans and sections\n· Mechanical general arrangement (GA) drawings\n· Piping Isometrics (ISOs)\n· Mechanical bills of material (BOM)\n· Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)\n· Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)\n● Development of Contractor Scopes of Work and/or Engineering Instructions.\nExperience:\nTypical experience level for this position is 3+ years.\nEducation:\nThis position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University. EIT certification is required for this position. PE registration is preferred.\nTraining:\nAs an engineer working toward Professional Registration, it would be expected that candidate would actively be working to gain the knowledge and skills required to pass the PE exam as well as become proficient with the skills and tools needed to effectively complete the engineering assignments.
