In this role, you will lead the development of embedded software for our Apollo quantum computer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background embedded software development, a solid understanding of control hardware, and experience working in a lab environment. Candidates should expect to be immersed in a fast-paced, multi-functional team-based environment with challenging technical obstacles to overcome where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive.\n\nAll applicants for placement in safety-sensitive positions will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software developed for FPGA based quantum computer control hardware.\nCollaborate with scientists and engineers to develop new concepts and technologies used to control quantum computers.\nWork closely with FPGA developers to implement concepts and validate them on internal developmental testbeds.\nEvaluate new software and hardware technologies to improve the control of quantum computers.\nDeliver products and achieve program goals in an R&D and rapid prototyping environment.\nYOU MUST HAVE:\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree\n6+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.\n4+ years of industry experience in an R&D or rapid prototyping environment.\nDue to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.\nDue to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status\nWE VALUE:\nMasters/PhD degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.\n10+ years of industry experience in an R&D or rapid prototyping environment.\nProficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.\nExperience developing embedded software for SoC FPGA’s using embedded Linux.\nExperience writing low-level device drivers for various interfaces (SPI, I2C, High Speed serial, etc.).\nPrior experience configuring and writing embedded software for Xilinx MPSoC FPGAs using Xilinx Vitis SDK.\nStrong interest in learning about new hardware and software tools.\nAbility to use typical lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, DMM, JTAG devices, logic analyzers, etc.\nBasic understanding of HDL’s including Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.\nStrong communication skills and a proven ability to lead by example through execution of programmatic goals, consistently demonstrating decisive business impact, and continuously driving for improvement in a rapidly changing environment.\n\nCompensation & Benefits:\n\nThe pay range for this role is $135,334 – $181,900 annually.
