This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, design partners, and owners to help deliver projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.The position provides hands-on experience across the project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout. It is well suited for someone with a strong interest in commercial construction who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and interested in building a long-term career in construction project management.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Managers and Superintendents with the delivery of commercial construction projects on schedule and within budget.Support assigned projects throughout preconstruction, construction, and closeout.Monitor and manage submittals, requests for information (RFIs), change orders, and project documentation.Maintain accurate project records and provide consistent status updates to project teams.Visit active jobsites throughout New Mexico to monitor project progress, identify issues, and support quality outcomes.Help resolve project issues and coordinate information between project stakeholders.Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, design partners, and owners.Build productive working relationships with project stakeholders.Identify opportunities to add value and improve project outcomes.Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-focused project environment.Follow established project responsibilities, processes, and documentation requirements.Required Qualifications / Must-Have QualificationsA degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required.Students who are near completion of a relevant degree may be considered.Strong communication skills are required, including the ability to work effectively with project teams and external stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through are required.Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight project deadlines.Must have a genuine interest in developing a long-term career in commercial construction.Must be willing and able to work in person and regularly visit active construction jobsites throughout New Mexico.Must be able to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, design partners, and owners.Preferred QualificationsPrevious field experience in commercial construction.Previous construction industry experience.Experience supporting construction project administration.Familiarity with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation.Experience working with subcontractors, design teams, owners, or general contractors.Previous experience in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager capacity.Experience supporting projects through preconstruction, construction, or closeout.What You’ll BringYou’ll bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and a willingness to learn the full construction project lifecycle.
