This individual will serve as a coach and mentor to maintenance technicians and millwrights. Our senior millwright will have excellent skills in industrial fabrication, welding, electrical including both high and low voltage, and understand the importance of preventative and predictive maintenance.\nThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to move into a leadership role in maintenance!\nWorking with a team, this individual will help guide daily maintenance activities by actively setting an example and sharing knowledge. The senior millwright will also work closely with production to identify goals and create plans to achieve those goals. This position also works closely with management to set daily goals for maintenance activities as well as being a critical member of the project planning team.\nThe core technical responsibilities of this position include:\nFabrication experience including \"from scratch\" designs - this is an excellent opportunity to flex your creative muscles and see your ideas come to life.\nElectrical skills including using multimeter to troubleshoot 24vdc to 480vac circuits\nWorking knowledge of motor control circuits, VFD, and PLC systems.\nReading and comprehending electrical, pnuematic, and hydraulic schematics.\nUnderstanding blueprints for machine and building design/modifications.\nAbility to identify existing parts and propose alternatives - same quality for less money or better quality for same money.\nBasic computer skills including sending emails, using the internet for research, and using various pieces of maintenance related software.\nAbility to operate forklift, skidsteer, telehandler or the willingness to learn.\nKnowledge of correct and safe usage of hand and power tools.\n\nCore \"soft skills\" of this position include:\nDecision making, handling sudden changes to the days activities, and helping keep other team members on task and motivated.\nWork safely, work well with others, and work well alone.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nRead and write English - bilingual a plus.\nOther duties as assigned.\nEnvironmental demands:\nManage confined space entry, bend, crouch, climb ladders and steps, lift /move 50 pounds. Must be able to adapt to an outside work environment that will include exposure to cold, heat, wind, rain, snow, and some slippery surfaces. Will be exposed to high levels of noise.\nElevated work is required.
