The ability to defend analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgments when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments.\nThe ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic / soft copy matrices and / or web-enabled formats.\nThe ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally, with strong grammar skills. Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office tools.\nThe ability to develop structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols.\nThe ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.\nWorking knowledge using complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques or alternative approaches, to examine biases, assumptions, and theories to eliminate uncertainty, strengthen analytic arguments, and mitigate surprise. Structured analytic techniques include, but not limited to, Analysis of Competing Hypotheses, Devil’s Advocacy, High-Impact / Low-Impact Analysis, Red Team Analysis and Alternative Futures Analysis.\nThe understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors / platforms and human intelligence sources related to the labor category.\nThe understanding of evaluating collected intelligence reporting, engaging with collection managers, and developing collection requirements.\n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nConduct OSINT activities in response to Government Request for Information (RFI) or tasking by the OIC including working with the Government to clarify and refine the RFI, collecting, exploiting, and analyzing-online open-source information, and preparing a report in the format required by the task, with minimal supervision using commercial internet, NIPRNet, SIPRNet and SCINet systems and tools.\nPopulate and maintain databases in support of and in conjunction with Data Analysts and Data Scientists.\nDocument types and structure of open-source data, analyze and mine data to identify patterns and correlations, map and trace data from system to system or source to source, design and create data reports.\nAssist the OSINT Team in using and evaluating available Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) tools.\nEmploy COTS tools to aggregate, structure, visualize, and assess available open-source information; infer and assess the relevance, veracity, and credibility of the information and its source.\nEmploy managed attribution (MA) software and associated online tradecraft while executing OSINT collection activities; demonstrate an understanding of the limitations of MA tools.\nDevelop innovative ways to combine data from different tools to provide analytical results that are of greater value and relevance to Operational Forces.\nTrain and mentor Marines in OSINT tradecraft and best practices, including the ability to administer MCIA’s Expeditionary OSINT Course.\nIdentify, develop, and formalize new OSINT tradecraft and other SOPs to meet mission requirement.\nLeverage language skills and cultural/area knowledge in support of OSINT activities to include Arabic, Farsi and/or Persian, Korean, Mandarin, and Russian, with a DLPT score of 3/3 or better (DLPT score no older than 5 years upon hire date).\nDevelops open-source research strategies to support specific information gaps.\nManually search for, exploit and analyze a variety of online open sources to include media, social media, academic literature, videos, maps etc. in target language to augment information acquired through other sources and/or to fill information gaps.\nUse various tools and methods to determine authenticity and currency of information acquired from the Internet.\nCreate reports using Word and PowerPoint to convey research findings; generate Open-Source Intelligence Reports (OSIRs).\nVerbally brief findings and research methods to various consumers.\nUse language skills to conduct searches and translate foreign articles, journals, and other forms of media into English.\nParticipate in meetings, conferences, and exercises.\nConduct All-Source analytic production of foreign space capabilities including, but not limited to, foreign adversary space doctrine, strategy, communications and collections, vulnerabilities, platforms, assembly and launch capabilities, weapons, dual-use systems and technologies, and emerging space technologies.\nCollaborate with engineers and scientists on foreign space capabilities.\n\nCompany Overview:\n\nBTS Software Solutions is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business who are community-focused innovators who transform ideas into technology to serve people.
