Key Responsibilities:
Delve into the heart of legal matters, providing expert guidance to public entity clients, with a special focus on school districts, navigating a myriad of employment law challenges.
Champion clients in administrative hearings, arbitrations, and litigation, tackling employment disputes head-on, from discrimination claims to wage and hour issues.
Dive deep into the legal trenches, conducting exhaustive research to ensure clients remain compliant with the ever-evolving tapestry of federal, state, and local employment laws.
Craft legal masterpieces, drafting and reviewing employment agreements, policies, and procedures to fortify clients' legal defenses.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, weaving together proactive strategies to mitigate risks and cultivate thriving work environments.
Become a beacon of knowledge, sharing insights and best practices through training sessions and educational initiatives.
Stay ahead of the curve, keeping a vigilant eye on emerging legal trends and developments, guiding clients through uncharted legal waters.
Navigate the delicate art of negotiation and mediation, resolving employment disputes with finesse and efficiency.
Take the reins, overseeing outside counsel and legal vendors, ensuring litigation strategies are as effective as they are cost-efficient.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active membership with the CA state bar.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in employment law, focusing on public entities, ideally within school districts.
Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, including Title VII and FMLA.
Proven ability to handle complex litigation and administrative proceedings with expertise.
Strong analytical skills for providing practical and effective legal counsel.
Excellent communication abilities to convey legal concepts to diverse audiences.
Thrives in fast-paced environments, whether working independently or as part of a team.
Exceptional legal writing skills with a knack for leaving a lasting impression.
Demonstrates integrity and values confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Previous experience in the public sector is a plus, particularly in navigating statutory and regulatory frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits:
Full Time (Hybrid/Remote) Position - 90% remote, 10% training & court hearings
$190,000 - $225,000, commensurate with your stellar track record and boundless potential.
