Job Summary
As a Legal Videographer (Video Technician) you will plan, capture, and deliver high-quality, court-ready video of depositions, hearings, and trial testimony. You will work on location at law offices, court houses, and remote deposition sites, ensuring recordings meet legal standards and that media and documentation are prepared for secure handoff to the post-production team. This is primarily a field position focused on capture, documentation, and secure delivery — not long-form editing.
Duties
Operate professional video recording equipment to capture footage for legal cases, depositions, and corporate events.
Edit raw footage using industry-standard software to produce clear, concise, and impactful videos.
Manage all aspects of post-production including color correction, sound editing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
Collaborate with legal teams and clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored video solutions.
Incorporate graphic elements such as titles, captions, and annotations using Adobe After Effects or similar tools.
Maintain organized digital files of all footage and edited videos for easy retrieval and compliance purposes.
Ensure all videos adhere to legal standards, confidentiality protocols, and branding guidelines.
Stay updated on the latest trends in videography, editing software, and legal video requirements.
Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Illustrator.
Experience with Final Cut Pro or other professional editing software.
Strong background in video production, filming techniques, and videography principles.
Knowledge of photography principles and experience with videography equipment.
Ability to work independently with attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with legal teams and clients.
Working conditions
On-site client work with variable hours; short-notice assignments.
Frequent travel within the region and occasional overnight travel depending on job needs.
Work includes exposure to courtroom and law office environments and the need to maintain strict confidentiality.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
