From day-to-day administration to strategic planning, your work ensures both stability and innovation across our technology ecosystem.\n\nCloud Infrastructure\nPlan, document, administer, and maintain hosted and cloud infrastructure in alignment with Technology Services standards.\nDesign and implement cloud monitoring tools to provide visibility into performance, capacity, utilization, and system health.\nDevelop and maintain cloud systems following the AWS Well-Architected Framework.\nEnsure high availability, scalability, and reliability across AWS and Azure environments.\nSystem Administration\nSenior-level administration of Linux and Windows systems.\nSupport DevOps initiatives and cloud-based development workflows.\nDesign and execute tests and evaluations of IaaS systems.\nDevelop and maintain processes for backups, archival and purge cycles, patch management, security updates, and data center maintenance.\nPerform day-to-day administration of AWS and Azure resources, proactively monitoring and resolving issues.\nMaintain infrastructure standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure enterprise value delivery.\nSecurity & Compliance\nDesign and maintain operating systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.\nPerform scheduled disaster recovery and business continuity exercises in cloud environments.\nParticipate in annual penetration testing with third-party vendors.\nEnsure compliance with industry and standard practices.\nAssist in the development of security policies, standards, and procedures.\nImplement and maintain AWS and Azure security best practices in partnership with the Security Team.\nProvide system testing and quality assurance for new and updated systems.\nAutomation\nDevelop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and management.\nImplement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.\nAssist with automation practices that promote consistency, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nCollaboration & Documentation\nWork closely with the Cloud Engineering Team, Technology Services leadership, and cross-functional partners on new initiatives and break/fix requests.\nDevelop and maintain accurate documentation for cloud infrastructure systems.\nContribute to future-state planning, technical roadmaps, and enterprise architecture alignment.\nPerformance Monitoring & Optimization\nMonitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and system response times.\nMaintain monitoring configurations for all critical systems.\nDevelop and implement best practices around performance SLAs.\nProvide cost optimization reporting to Infrastructure leadership.\nEducation & Experience:\nBA/BS (4-year degree) or equivalent experience.\n6+ years of Linux administration, including recent cloud-based experience.\nExperience administering AWS Cloud, Azure Entra (Azure AD), Fortinet, LAN/WAN networks, and DNS.\nExperience with automation tools such as Bash, Ansible, Python, and platforms including Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.\nExperience administering database systems (MySQL).\nTechnical Proficiency\nStrong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, DRS, SES, and more).\nProficiency deploying and administering REST APIs.\nExperience with cloud monitoring tools such as Datadog and Rapid7.\nProficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).\nUnderstanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.\nAWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are a plus.\nWork Environment / Physical Demands\nThis role operates in a physical office environment with hybrid (partially remote) eligibility.\nSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
