Required Responsibilities
Maintain a weekly schedule, manage coverage needs, and request additional team members as needs demand.
Effectively delegate duties to Supervisors and Leads for coverage needs.
Set team goals and action plans based on business needs, emergent issues, and strategic objectives.
Act proactively throughout the shift to ensure that Dock performance standards are met regarding staging, security checks, loading, and KDT times.
Track daily team performance; provide daily and weekly reporting on KDT performance, security updates, and team performance metrics.
Ensure that flights with compressed or at-risk timelines are managed according to At-Risk Flight SOP.
Build and lead a strong team that proactively manages the dock space while meeting cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
Conduct or ensure daily communication meetings with the team.
Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to increase performance.
Coordinate with all related departments to meet all operational goals.
Coach team members on performance to meet individual, team, and departmental goals.
Conduct corrective action meetings based on team member performance.
Ensure that team members are current and compliant with training, safety initiatives, and safety culture.

Maintain a sense of positivity and professionalism in their communications and execution of duties.
Effectively complete all other duties as directed by management.
Regular and timely attendance is expected for the position.

Education/Experience Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in operations, logistics, business management, or a related field is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 5-7 years experience in inflight catering or airport hub environment, manufacturing, logistics, or food industry managing employees
Strong leadership experience with experience in turnaround environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with non-exempt at upper management levels
Ability to effectively handle conflict and de-escalate emotionally charged situations
Good understanding of OSHA, HR, and other employment laws
Good knowledge of investigation procedures and root cause analysis
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes
Strategic thinker with creative and excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Resilient self-starter who can act independently and learn quickly within a rapidly evolving environment
Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through
Detail-oriented and ability to see the big picture
Strong ability with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent organizational and motivational skills
Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
Strong analytical skills for interpretation of data to effectively manage risk
Ability to effectively collaborate with site operations, functional leaders, and external clients and vendors
