The Programmer owns machining–related Router operations.\n\nPosition Key Accountabilities:\nReviews new product designs for manufacturability.\nDetermines appropriate manufacturing sequencing.\nDetermines tooling requirements for manufacturing, testing, and assembly.\nDevelops new programs & revises existing programs for CNC machines.\nProgram tool manufacturer’s suggested feeds and speeds for optimum tool life and part finish.\nProvides support to machinists during CNC machine set–up.\nDocuments deficiencies/problems and initiates corrective action.\nEvaluates and recommends techniques to improve existing products and processes.\nSupport the Machinist during setups and in process operations.\nComplete and release CNC programs on schedule to support predictable workflow, minimize downtime, and meet production needs.\nMaintain revision accuracy by updating machining instructions through the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process whenever Engineering issues approved changes.\nCreate and maintain all machining–related Router operations, including:\nOperation steps and sequencing\nWork center assignment\nSetup and cycle time (time basis)\nMachining notes and process details\nCertifications/Skills:\nExperience programming of 2, 3, and 4–axis horizontal and vertical machines.\nAbility to design with Solid Modeling software, Autodesk Inventor.\nProgramming experience utilizing Edgecam simulator to produce accurate code for complex components.
