Service Writer/Advisor

Bobcat of Atlanta - We are an authorized dealer of new and used Bobcat compact construction equipment including skid steers, track loaders, compact excavators, telehandlers, utility vehicles and more. We provide service both in the field and in our facility. Bobcat of Atlanta - Norcross is seeking a Service Writer to join our busy dealership. Successful candidates will have mechanical aptitude, great customer service skills, and a willingness to learn our business. ResponsibilitiesSchedule all service work and provides supervision of administration and warrantyTake all service requests from salesmen and customers as a service writerOpen, close, and manage all service tickets.Understanding of the billing processAnswer phones and direct calls to the appropriate departmentCommunicate with Parts Department and Warehouse team for technician parts needsVerify parts are entered properly on service ordersAssist the service manager in meeting department goals as neededGreet customers and assist with unloading/loading machinesCommunicate effectively to customers regarding technician's findingsAssist with assigning jobs to techniciansMaintain awareness of job status and time requirements of all jobs in the shop in order to communicate appropriate timelines of repairs with service team and customersProactively communicate with customers when repairs will take longer than originally quoted and/or if more issues have arisen in the repair processAlways operate in and maintain a safe work environment; obey safety rules and wear required safety PPEAdditional duties as assigned QualificationsBilingual in Spanish is preferredPositive outlook and excellent communication, both verbal and writtenExcel in a high volume fast paced environmentCreative problem solverExcellent customer relations skillsGood computer and systems knowledgeExperience with construction or ag equipment preferredFamiliarity with the inner workings of a service driveMust be able to pass a drug screenValid driver's license in good standing is preferred Physical RequirementsOccasionally lifting /carrying up to 10 pounds or pushing/pulling small objectsPhysically able to operate construction equipment and forkliftsPhysically able to operate a variety of automated office machines including a computer, printer, facsimile machine, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc. on a repetitive basisOccasionally exposed to weather conditions, fumes, and loud noiseRegularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and lift.
