We're a family-run business, and we consider our team members part of The Bartolotta Restaurants family.\nJOB PURPOSE:\nThe Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies, and collect money for drinks served.\nPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nReceive orders from patrons or waitstaff.\nPrepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.\nEnsures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.\nMaintain bar spaces and keep them clean and organized.\nAttractively display glasses, liquor, and other bar items so its pleasing for guests to look at.\nCollect payments from guest for drinks prepared and served.\nEnsure that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo ID’s.\nUtilize proper judgment and discretion, when necessary, refuse service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.\nAll Other Duties as Assigned\n\nRequirements:\nQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:\nExtensive knowledge of drink preparation and service.\nExceptional interpersonal, oral, and presentation skills with focus on serving customers.\nAbility to work in fast-paced, changing environment.\nAbility to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative patrons.\nAbility to learn Point of Sales systems and software.\nEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\nCompletion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training required.\nAt least one year of related experience preferred.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is: .\nFrequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.\nOccasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.\nAbility to complete orders quickly and accurately.\nMust be able to lift at least 15 pounds at a time.\nMust be at least 18 years or older to serve alcoholic drinks.\nADA Disclaimer: In developing this job description care was taken to include all competencies needed to successfully perform in this position.
