This role will also be the face of the company for on site visitors and vendors, managing visitor traffic. If you’re up for a rewarding challenge, we invite you to take the first step and apply today!\nResponsibilities\n· Process SAP entries\n· Review bill of material to confirm consumption\n· Coordinate with production team on needed materials and supplies\n· Place orders with vendors as required and negotiate acceptable delivery terms on all assigned items\n· Work with vendors to adjust delivery dates and expedite items as needed\n· Track orders for all vendors\n· Resolve receiving issues\n· Maintain and update vendor information accurately\n· Identify alternate sources on existing and new products as required\n· Develop new relationships and leverage existing relationships to ensure competitive pricing on purchased materials and supplies\n· Conduct bi-weekly review of MRP planning report\n· Set up new vendors\n· Work with other departments as needed on new product introductions\n· Front desk management, welcoming and directing visitors, visits with vendors\n· Research vendor invoice issues\nMinimum Requirements\n· 3-5 years’ experience in purchasing within the manufacturing industry (precast concrete industry experience highly preferred)\n· Experience in negotiating supplier terms\n· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)\n· Experience with SAP preferred\n· Ability and willingness to work in a manufacturing facility, sometimes with extended periods of time outdoors or in a warehouse exposed to the elements\n· Strong written and verbal communication skills\n· Exemplary standards of ethics, integrity, and accountability\n· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills\n· Ability to work several projects simultaneously\n· Creative thinker and excellent problem-solving skills\n· Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision\nWe are an equal employment opportunity employer.
