Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.\n\nIn the role of Enterprise Applications Programmer, you will have the opportunity to:\n\nMaintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.\n\nLead the coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of complex enterprise applications, including the PeopleSoft Application Suite, ensuring solutions meet business and technical requirements and established development standards.\n\nServe as a key liaison between programmers, technical leadership, Business Analysts, and other IT teams, coordinating application testing, troubleshooting, software support, and the implementation of business application technology projects.\n\nSupport the planning and execution of software development projects by defining scope, schedules, implementation requirements, and priorities, ensuring projects and system enhancements are delivered accurately and within established timelines.\n\nLead the analysis and design of enterprise systems and applications, applying advanced knowledge of system architecture, software development lifecycles, quality assurance, testing, and integration methodologies to identify requirements and recommend enhancements.\n\nLead the development and maintenance of technical documentation for systems and applications, clearly communicating application structure, functionality, and logic to Business Systems Analysts, Application Programmers, and other IT stakeholders.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat are the qualifications?\n\nServe with Excellence\n\nAs a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:\n\nBachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or related area of study; or related field with at least ten (10) years' related experience with business systems and applications development; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nComprehensive knowledge of enterprise business applications and processes, including Human Resources, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Asset Management, and Inventory, with strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, Finance, or Campus Solutions.\n\nComprehensive knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices, including the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), web services, APIs, application integration, technical specifications, testing, documentation, and production implementation.\n\nStrong proficiency in PeopleSoft development and customization, including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, and SQR; ability to efficiently develop, test, implement, and maintain application customizations and technical process improvements.\n\nThorough knowledge of database management systems and data modeling, as well as enterprise application servers, web frameworks, and messaging protocols, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Tomcat, IIS, Spring, ASP.NET, JMS, and MSMQ.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective, sustainable solutions.\n\nAbility to lead and develop a small team of enterprise application programmers, communicate complex technical information effectively, and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve project objectives.\n\nWhat are the benefits?\n\nWalk in Bold Faith\n\nSamaritan's Purse is proud to offer a competitive benefits package, including:\n\nOn-site Medical Clinic (staff and dependents)\n\nMedical, prescription, dental & vision insurance\n\nFlexible Spending Account (FSA)\n\nLong-term and Short-term disability insurance\n\nPaid Family Medical Leave\n\nTerm Life Insurance\n\n401(k) retirement savings plan\n\n10 paid holidays\n\n12 vacation/personal days\n\n10 sick days\n\nType: Full-Time\n\nDepartment: Information Technology\n\nLocation: (On-Site) Boone, NC; N.
