We deliver internal and external customers integrated platforms, simulation and modeling technologies from pathfinding to beyond product launch. The team is driving software-first strategy at Intel through early robust system simulators. We are transforming the way our product firmware and software are developed and simulated in a modern cloud computing environment. We deliver an integrated functional, performance, power, and thermal simulation several quarters before the first silicon. Great simulators result in leadership products by simulating our architecture and software before committing our product execution. We are looking for strong software and systems engineers with a proven track record of leadership roles on large-scale software development projects.\nThe engineers in the team work at platform level developing simulation models, integrating and validating firmware, software and workloads on the simulator and enabling new user experiences. We are believers of modern and agile software development practices. The engineer will work on understanding architectural specifications and use-cases and then develop models that meet those requirements.\nThe ideal candidate should demonstrate the following skills/traits:\nStrong software development and software engineering and the ability to architect an end-to-end solution.\nAnalyze specifications of upcoming new IP's and features including complete platform capabilities.\nExercising judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.\nAssesses risks and identifies solutions to timely, efficient achievement of program goals and ensures that quality standards are met.\nYou will be responsible for, but not limited to:\nResponsible for the validation and debug of device driver software through the design and development of software validation environments.\nDevelops and debugs test firmware to verify and program device drivers.\nResponsible for the creation of validation plans and associated methodologies, as well as debugging failures.\nWrites validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, determines root causes of failures, and recommends or develops corrective action.\nAssesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.\nDevelop hardware simulators (Virtual Platform Prototyping) in software, modeling hardware like Graphics, Ethernet and more…\nWork with Intel software, hardware design engineers and architects to deliver the next generation simulation platform(s).\nAnalyze specifications of upcoming new IP's and features including complete platform capabilities.\nDriving initiatives and projects that are directly tied to the development, implementation, and technology of our platform simulators.\nYou will have opportunity to work with hardware architectures and products years ahead before they will be delivered on the store shelfs.\nBehavioral traits that we are looking for:\nExcellent communication: Expected to drive clarity across partners, managers.\nExcellent teamwork: With a relatively small team, we need everyone to help however and wherever they can.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently draw conclusions.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nCandidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience -OR- a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, with 4+ years of experience -OR- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, with 2+ years of experience.\nExperience in 2 or more of the following areas:\nEmbedded Firmware, Linux kernel, or Windows development and debugging experience.\nSoC architecture and embedded System domains knowledge.\nAdvanced system, kernel and application software development skills.\nProgramming skills in C/C++ and Python.\nExcellent code design and development practices.\nExcellent debugging skills and experience with GDB.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nKnowledge about Virtual Prototyping, Hardware Simulation, Hardware Modeling.\nExperience in SystemC, TLM and DML (intel/device-modeling-language (github.com)).\n\nInside this Business Group\n\nCorporate Strategy Office is chartered to support the executive office in driving corporate initiatives, including near and long-term strategy, major cross-group decision making and ensuring cross-company alignment.
