This includes assembling furniture as required, inspecting products for quality, protecting products from damage, selecting and applying appropriate packaging materials, and ensuring finished products are properly prepared for delivery to customers.\n\nThe ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.\n\nRequirements:\nPrepare completed furniture and components for shipment.\nSelect the appropriate packaging materials based on the size, weight, shape, and requirements of the product.\nWrap furniture using protective materials such as foam, plastic, cardboard, paper, pads, and other protective packaging.\nPackage products securely to prevent movement, scratching, denting, or other damage during handling and transportation.\nAssemble cartons and packaging materials as required.\nProperly position products within cartons or packaging to provide maximum protection.\nUse tape, staples, straps, bands, and other approved methods to secure packages.\nEnsure packages are properly sealed and ready for transportation.\nApply labels, product identification, and other required markings.\nVerify product information and quantities prior to completing packaging.\nEnsure hardware, instructions, accessories, and other required items are included with the finished product.\nRepackage products when packaging is damaged or does not meet company standards.\n\n Quality\n\nPerform visual and physical inspections of products before packaging.\nEnsure finished products meet established quality standards.\nPay close attention to product appearance, cleanliness, alignment, and completeness.\nPrevent damaged or incomplete products from being packaged.\nReport quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.\nFollow all quality-control procedures and work instructions.\nTake responsibility for the quality of work performed.\n\nSafety\n\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures.\nWear required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nUse hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment safely and properly.\nFollow proper lifting and ergonomic practices.\nAsk for assistance when handling large, heavy, or awkward products.\nMaintain clear and safe walkways and work areas.\nImmediately report unsafe conditions, injuries, damaged equipment, or other safety concerns.\nParticipate in safety training and follow all applicable workplace safety requirements.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to frequently bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and work in various positions.\nAbility to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull furniture and packaging materials.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.\nAbility to safely handle large, bulky, and awkward furniture products.\nAbility to perform repetitive movements associated with assembly and packaging.\nAbility to work safely in a manufacturing and production environment.\n\nOther Duties\n\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
