Distribution Manager
Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Responsible for managing the E-Commerce part of the business.Through close interaction with the Human Resources department, the Manager is involved in the hiring, coaching, counseling, and termination of the Warehouse staff. They will also ensure that the supervisory staff has completed the in-house supervisory skills training course. Highly technically capable or comfortable with state-of-the-art distribution automation and the systems used to operate them.Extremely proficient with presenting and analyzing data to optimize processes.Responsible for managing staff, evaluating labor requirements, and executing schedules.Study methods for improved efficiency and utilization and implementation of company-wide cost savings projects. Monitors such projects and report success ratings to senior management. Continuously monitor all departmental costs, including staffing, versus determined budget guidelines.Investigate improvement of productivity through the use of better machinery and/or training methods.Coordinate and interface with all Departments to ensure clear communications throughout the department and continuous improvement to the quality of the product and service to our customers.Participate in the formation and implementation of company policies and budgets.Ensure that employees follow production procedures and maintain quality levels acceptable to the customer and/or conform to specifications.Set-up operations for optimum workflow and staffing needs to accomplish this.Maintain active communication with the customer accounting group to ensure proper receipt processes are being adhered to.Required ExperienceA minimum of 3year’s prior management experience in distribution or a related field. Candidate must have good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.Additional Eligibility QualificationsCandidate is trained by the senior management with regard to policies, corporate goals, mission, and safety guidelines.Preferred Education And ExperienceMinimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration equivalent distribution experience. E-Commerce Distribution experience is a plus.
