Serves as a Finance liaison to Directors while assisting them with questions regarding their departmental statements and budget. Provides oversight and mentorship to the Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, Staff Accountants, Accounting Intern and Supervisor of the Mail Center.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\nParticipates in and oversees the month-end closing process while reviewing all journal entries for accuracy.\nReviews the financial transactions in detail with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure accuracy of all entries.\nEnsures the accurate and timely completion of the annual budget.\nPrepares and coordinates business plans related to capital items and leasing options.\nEvaluates all requests to add or change any departments or general ledger account numbers to ensure consistency and accuracy of the financial statements.\nCompletes the monthly reserve model for the hospital and physician enterprise while ensuring the accuracy of the reserves.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business or related field. CPA license or a Master’s degree in Business or Accounting preferred.\n\nExperience: Three to five years of experience in healthcare with a minimum of three years of experience in a management role.\n\nInterpersonal Skills: Good communication skills are necessary. Accountable for own conduct. Promotes and supports positive working relationships among co-workers, staff, outside auditors, government officials and business associates.
