Position: CDL A – Route Driver with with out of town overnight stays Rate of Pay: $28.00 per hours Sign on Bonus: $7,000 (Payout: $1,500 at 90 days; $2,500 at 180 days & $3,000 at 365 days) Reports to: Route Dispatcher Manager Department: Route Transportation Shift: (Full-Time) Monday – Friday Liberty Tire Recycling is North America’s market leader. Job Summary: A Route Driver is responsible for safely operating a truck, and providing prompt, courteous and complete tire removal services for customers. The driver will work with a helper to oversee the daily collection of waste tires from different customer sites. Routes are assigned by dispatch; however, it is the responsibility of the driver to successfully manage the loading and transportation of waste tire to the home facility. Included in this position will be the responsibility to complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site. Drivers may at times be responsible for transporting monies received at collection sites from customers who are on a cash only basis. What is the difference about Liberty Tire Recycling? Driver Qualifications: 22 years of age with Class A CDL Must have and maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT 1 year of commercial driving experience or equivalent military experience (preferred) Must pass post-offer background, DOT physical, company road test and drug test Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report defects to dispatch through the completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment. Upholding a high standard of customer service. Ensuring the load is correctly placed and secure. Understand safe lifting techniques to load tires of all sizes (passenger vehicle, and truck tires). Lace passenger tires in a safe manner to reduce injury and optimize load. Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. on a routine basis and 75+ lbs. with assistance. Willingness to work in various weather conditions. Maintain documents per DOT guidelines, ELD compliant.
