Responsible for tracking and reporting Company costs, productivity, margins and expenditures.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\r\nCoordinates and administers an adequate plan for the control of operations. Such a plan provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, cost standards and saving opportunities, and capital investing, together with the necessary controls and procedures to effectuate the plan.\r\nComparesperformance with operating plans and standards. Provides reports and interprets the results of operations to all levels of management. This includes the formulation of accounting policies, the preparation of financial statements and operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports asrequired.\r\nForecasts short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis formaintainingadequate funds.\r\nAssures protection for the assets of the business through internal control, internal auditing, and ensuring proper insurance coverage.\r\nMonitors credit and collection applications.\r\nProvides other companydepartmentswith related information required by them to carry out their assigned responsibilities.\r\nEstablishes and implements a sound operational and organizational plan in direct support of the business plan.\r\nExecutes cash disbursements for payment of corporate expendituresin accordance withdisbursementpolicies.\r\nMonitors inventory levels andadvisesmanagementregardingvariances to budget.\r\nAnalyze complex financial reports and records\r\nMake recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves,assetsand expenditures\r\nReview journal entries to ensure accuracy\r\nTrain,mentorand overseeaccounting staff\r\nPerform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations\r\nConsistent,reliable attendanceand punctuality at assigned work location.\r\nAssistwith financial and tax audits\r\nDocument andmonitorinternal controls in support ofgenerally acceptedaccountingprinciples\r\nCoordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments\r\nAssistin thecompletion of special projects as needed.\r\nReasonableaccommodationsmay be made to enablequalifiedindividuals with disabilitiesor limitations related to, affected by, or arising out of pregnancy,childbirthor related medical conditionsto perform theessential functions, unless the accommodationwill causean unduehardship\r\nCompetencies\r\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:\r\nHighly detail-oriented,organizedandaccurate\r\nAbility to meet a constant stream of deadlines, time management skills\r\nProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively withdifferent levelsof employees\r\nSuperior analytical and problem-solving skills\r\nFamiliarity with accounting software and programs. Proficient in Excel.\r\nEthical Conduct\r\nExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)\r\nConfidentiality\r\nKnowledge and application of federal/state laws/regulations, internalcontrolsand basic accounting principles\r\nEducation and/or Experience:\r\nRequired\r\nBachelor's Degree in Accounting\r\nCurrent Certified Public Accountant(CPA)license\r\nMinimum of5years of accountingexperiencepreferably in manufacturing/production environment;OR,any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.\r\nPreferred\r\nPublic Accounting experience\r\nPreviousexperience in manufacturing/production\r\nPhysical Demands\r\nPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Schedule: 9/80 Schedule: Monday through Friday (every other Friday off), 7:00AM – 5:00PM.
