Logistics Specialist

Logistics ProfessionalWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Logistics professional to support the coordination of shipments, inventory, and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for ensuring products and materials move efficiently from origin to destination while maintaining accuracy, cost control, and on-time delivery.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, vendors, and internal teamsTrack shipments and provide updates on delivery status, delays, and issuesManage inventory levels and maintain accurate stock recordsPrepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing listsCommunicate with suppliers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operationsIdentify and resolve shipping or inventory discrepanciesMonitor logistics performance and support cost reduction and efficiency improvementsAssist with planning routes, scheduling deliveries, and optimizing transportation processesMaintain accurate records and generate reports on logistics activityEnsure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulationsQualifications1–3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or transportation (preferred)Strong organizational and multitasking skillsExperience with inventory management, shipping, or tracking systemsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)Strong communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple prioritiesJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of ELIZABETH CITY, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
