As a premier power engineering and construction management firm in the US, Waldron prides itself on being a leader in advancing new and emerging energy production technologies and developing ways to bring them to commercial application.\n\nThe Opportunity\nWaldron Engineering and Construction, Inc. is seeking an entry level Structural Engineer in our Exeter New Hampshire office who will work under the direct supervision of the Structural Department Manager.\n\nThe Structural Department specifically provides engineering services for combined heat and power plants, used by healthcare facilities, universities, military facilities and commercial electrical generation ventures.\n\nThe successful candidate will perform technical work including, but not limited to, the following:\n\nServe as technical resource on design issues and engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes for structural integrity and seismic strength.\n\nResearch, plan, and design structural solutions that often require novel concepts and approaches within a multi-discipline team to meet project expectations (technical, operational, aesthetic, construction) for a wide range of industrial facilities, often with client requirements that exceed typical code minimums.\n\nDevelop design concepts through to detailed design stage.\n\nDesign tasks involving load determination, stress analysis, structural steel design using computational software design tools and hand calculations as appropriate.\n\nDevelopment of structural design drawings and specifications.\n\nWork in a team environment with mechanical, electrical and controls engineering disciplines.\n\nReview shop drawings and facilitate the construction administration process.\n\nConduct on-site inspections and troubleshooting investigations, as required.\n\nYour Education & Skills\n\nBachelor’s Degree.\n\nProficiency with Finite Element Analysis software is required, RISA - preferred\n\nExperience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCad - preferred\n\nWorking knowledge of MathCad, NavisWorks - preferred\n\nHas successfully passed the FE exam - preferred\n\nGood interpersonal and communication skills\n\nWorks effectively in teams\n\nPosition Benefits\n\nExcellent work environment.\n\nDedicated support staff.\n\nTraining and professional development.\n\nCompetitive benefits\n\nPaid holidays & vacation.\n\nMust be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
