We help OEMs across life science and fluid control industries improve the performance of their devices, enabling better scientific research, faster diagnosis of diseases, better medical treatments, and more efficient machines, dramatically improving life for everyone.\nOur one big team work fairly and effectively but most importantly together to ensure we maintain the foundations that have enabled IMI’s success through over 150 years of heritage.\nIMI Adaptas is part of global engineering organization IMI plc, positioned within the Precision Engineering Division.\n\nRole Overview\nAn Assembly Technician assembles, verifies, and tests various technical assemblies classified from component builds to fully integrated systems under the approval of engineering and scientific staff by performing the required duties.\nWork Location: Onsite, Palmer, MA\n\nKey Responsibilities\nUnderstand details of assembly drawings and bills of materials.\nAccurately complete all relevant paperwork and adhere to deadlines.\nRoutinely communicate with production leadership on issues which could affect production and the meeting of deadlines.\nMust follow orders and assembly data sheets, etc.\nOperate necessary equipment either automated or manual.\nHandle various raw materials and give suggestions on ways to improve the product or manufacturing processes.\nWork in the manufacturing of raw material, such as glass fabrication.\nUnderstand details of assembly drawings and bills of materials within the life-science industry.\nAll other duties as assigned by management.\n\nCritical Competencies for Success\nHigh School diploma or GED.\nMust have the ability to work with a microscope.\nCandidate MUST have attention to detail.\n0 – 3 years of manufacturing experience or combination of experience and education.\nMust have an attention to detail and able to operate with minimal supervision.\nMust be able to read, write, and understand English.\nTeam player.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nOccasional need to lift boxes up to 30lbs. Frequent bending, walking, and mobility will be necessary. Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop/bend, and reach. Must be able to lift using proper techniques 25 pounds.
