The key responsibilities will be the support of building infrastructure, coordination of full-time or contract support resources for facilities upkeep or upgrades, along with creating the equipment maintenance organization to support production operations. This individual will help build our preventative maintenance systems and develop strategies to ensure reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nPlan, schedule, and oversee preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on mechanical, control, and infrastructure systems\n\nSupport general facility maintenance needs, prioritize service requests, and allocate resources to meet evolving operational requirements\n\nEquipment Operation Availability / % OEE improvement: System development to track current shop conditions and identification of key areas of improvement\n\nDevelop and implement PM/TPM activities for production and facilities equipment\n\nManage the spares system and identify critical spares inventory\n\nEstablish and communicate direction and priorities for the maintenance team\n\nDrive the maintenance and reliability initiative focused on preventive and predictive maintenance rather than reactive maintenance\n\nSet and maintain departmental goals and KPI's, monitor line efficiencies, labor cost, and other department expenses\n\nPartner cross-functionally to manage, maintain and establish maintenance procedures for production lines to ensure production meets or exceeds the targets\n\nProvide training and continuous development to both direct and indirect reports\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n\n5+ years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance\n\nAssociate Degree, technical certification, or completion of a trade school program preferred\n\nStrong technical expertise in HVAC systems, mechanical repairs, and infrastructure operations, with knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards\n\nStrong preventive maintenance development experience and spare inventory management\n\nAble to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals\n\nAble to work a night schedule, including weekday and weekend overtime\n\nFamiliarity with electrical and hydraulics/pneumatics troubleshooting using prints\n\nPLC: troubleshooting with, or programming Allen Bradley or Siemens\n\nAbility to work 2nd shift: 3:30pm-12am\n\nAbout the Team\n\nThe Facilities and Maintenance team is responsible for keeping Base Factory 1 running safely, reliably, and efficiently every hour of every shift. As Base scales production of home battery systems, this team builds the maintenance programs, reliability systems, and facility infrastructure that prevent downtime before it happens and enable manufacturing to meet growing customer demand. You'll have the opportunity to establish the foundation for a world-class maintenance organization from preventive maintenance and spare parts strategy to equipment reliability and facility operations rather than inheriting legacy systems.
