This role ensures data integrity, system reliability, and efficient data integration across project management tools to enable accurate forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDatabase Management & Administration\r\nDesign, implement, and maintain databases supporting project controls systems (cost, scheduling, earned value, etc.)\r\nEnsure high availability, performance, and security of databases\r\nPerform database tuning, optimization, backups, and recovery procedures\r\nMonitor database health and resolve performance issues proactively\r\nProject Controls Systems Support\r\nSupport integration between systems such as Primavera P6, Access, EcoSys, Power BI, or similar tools\r\nManage data flows between scheduling, cost, and reporting platforms\r\nMaintain data structures that align with project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Control Accounts\r\nData Governance & Quality\r\nEstablish and enforce data standards, validation rules, and governance practices\r\nEnsure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of project data\r\nDevelop and maintain data dictionaries and documentation\r\nReporting & Analytics\r\nEnable reporting solutions by structuring data for dashboards and analytics tools\r\nCollaborate with project controls teams to deliver reliable cost, schedule, and performance reports\r\nSupport earned value management (EVM) data structures and reporting requirements\r\nAutomation & Integration\r\nDevelop scripts, queries, and automation processes (SQL, Python, etc.) to streamline workflows\r\nSupport ETL processes and data pipelines\r\nIntegrate data across enterprise systems and project platforms\r\nImplement smart monitoring solutions that leverage automated anomaly detection and predictive alerting to identify database performance issues, data inconsistencies, or system bottlenecks before they impact project controls reporting and decision-making\r\nExplore and adopt AI-enabled tools and platforms to automate repetitive database administration tasks such as data cleansing, record deduplication, query optimization, and report generation, freeing up capacity for higher-value project controls support\r\nCollaboration & Support\r\nWork closely with project managers, schedulers, cost engineers, and IT teams\r\nProvide technical support and training to end users\r\nParticipate in system upgrades, implementations, and migrations\r\nExperience\r\nBachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field\r\n5+ years of database administration experience, preferably in project-based environments\r\nStrong proficiency in SQL and database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)\r\nExperience supporting project controls systems (Primavera P6, EcoSys, Deltek, SAP, etc.)\r\nUnderstanding of project controls principles (cost control, scheduling, EVM)\r\nPreferred Experience\r\nExperience in engineering, construction, energy, or infrastructure industries\r\nFamiliarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)\r\nExperience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS)\r\nKnowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)\r\nCertification in database administration or project controls (e.g., PMP, EVP)\r\nExperience with AI-powered database administration and monitoring tools (e.g., Oracle Autonomous Database, SolarWinds Database Performance Analyzer, Datadog) for automated tuning, anomaly detection, and proactive performance management\r\nFamiliarity with machine learning frameworks or platforms (e.g., Python, Azure ML, AWS SageMaker) for building data quality checks, predictive models, or intelligent automation pipelines within project controls environments\r\nBenefits\r\nCompetitive compensation packages\r\n401k with company match\r\nMedical, dental, vision plans\r\nGenerous vacation policy, plus holidays\r\nEstimated Starting Salary Range\r\nThe estimated starting salary range for this role is $121,000 - $143,000 annually less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis.
