Join us to make a tangible impact on mission-critical technology while enjoying Northern Virginia's vibrant community.Position:You will serve as an Engineering Data Management & Configuration Management Specialist supporting advanced Department of Defense (DoD) engineering programs. This role is responsible for maintaining engineering data integrity, configuration control, technical documentation management, and lifecycle support activities across complex hardware and software development environments.You will work closely with systems engineers, program managers, software and hardware teams, quality personnel, and government stakeholders to ensure accurate configuration accountability and compliance throughout the engineering lifecycle. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced working within secure, highly regulated defense environments.Responsibilities:Administer and maintain engineering data repositories, product baselines, and controlled technical documentationSupport configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration auditsManage engineering changes, software releases, hardware documentation, and lifecycle baseline updatesMaintain strict configuration integrity, traceability, and version control across technical data environmentsCollect, review, track, route, archive, and maintain Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverablesSupport technical writing, editing, formatting standardization, and documentation quality improvement initiativesUtilize and support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and engineering data systems including Windchill, SharePoint, Jira, and related platformsEnsure proper access permissions, workflow management, and data integrity within engineering repositoriesSupport Configuration Control Boards (CCB), Technical Review Boards (TRB), Failure Review Boards (FRB), and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR)Prepare technical review packages, meeting agendas, action item tracking, meeting minutes, and closeout documentationCoordinate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), engineering leadership, and program stakeholders to maintain accurate technical records and project statusSupport software and hardware anomaly tracking activities ensuring timely reporting and traceabilityManage classified and unclassified technical data in accordance with government security procedures and marking requirementsSupport audits, self-inspections, corrective actions, and compliance initiativesContribute to process improvement and continuous improvement efforts supporting engineering lifecycle managementQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Technical Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered3+ years of experience supporting engineering data management, configuration management, or technical documentation within a DoD or regulated environmentExperience with Windchill PLM and/or other PLM/data management systemsExperience supporting engineering review boards and change management processesKnowledge of configuration management principles and engineering lifecycle processesStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, highly regulated environmentsU.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearanceDesired Skills:Experience supporting Navy or DoD weapons systems programsFamiliarity with: ARAS Innovator, SharePoint Administration, Jira Administration, and MBSE/CAMEO environmentsUnderstanding of CMMC and NIST 800-171 requirementsExperience handling classified technical data and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)Experience supporting software and hardware anomaly tracking systemsActive DoD security clearance preferredExperience with: Engineering Documentation Control, Configuration Status Accounting, CDRL Management, Change Management Processes, Technical Review Coordination, Audit & Compliance TrackingWhat We Offer:Beyond competitive pay, we offer:Full benefits from day one: medical, dental and vision401(k) with generous company match and immediate vestingPTO and Federal holidays
