We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant Instructor to join our team and help shape the future of nursing assistants.\nJob Description:\nUnder the direct supervision of the Administrator, the Nursing Assistant Instructor will provide instruction for Nursing Assistant courses and maintain all necessary course documentation and communication. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and have a strong background in nursing, with the ability to engage students through active learning methods.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Deliver on-site instruction in entry-level caregiving skills for Nursing Assistants.\n2. Plan, prepare, and implement interactive learning activities that meet established course competencies.\n3. Utilize reliable assessment tools to measure student achievement of course objectives.\n4. Provide students with a written overview of course competencies, grading procedures, attendance policies, and other essential information at the beginning of the course.\n5. Utilize active learning methods that accommodate various learning styles to enhance student engagement.\n6. Offer guidance and support to students regarding their course progress and academic concerns.\n7. Regularly review and update instructional materials, learning activities, and assessment techniques to improve course delivery.\n8. Collaborate with the administrator and fellow staff members to integrate instructional activities effectively.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n· Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nProficiency in delivering instruction using active learning methods.\nAbility to plan and implement effective learning activities that align with course competencies.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nExperience working with diverse populations and the ability to provide appropriate guidance to students.\nFamiliarity with computer concepts and technology in education.\nAdditional Requirements:\nMust meet State requirements for nursing assistant instructors.\nHold a current, active RN license in good standing and have at least one year of full-time experience as an RN providing direct patient care.\nPreferred: Two years of teaching experience, including Nursing Assistant courses.\nRecent (within the past 5 years) experience in home health care or healthcare settings utilizing nursing assistants.\nMeet the requirements of the DHS and DES.\nSuccessful completion of a background check.\nAppointment is contingent upon DHS approval as a CNA instructor.\nHours:\nThis is a part-time position.
