General areas of responsibility include providing leadership for the organization's customer-facing associates and branch functions. Positions in operations leadership are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization's branches, areas, and other geographic units and KOB groups.\n\nAreas of Impact:\n\nDelivers job responsibilities following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Work consists of tasks that are very routine, or well defined, with specific instructions to achieve standardized solutions.\n\nProblem solving:\n\nProblems and issues faced are routine and solutions are clear. Follows a well-established and familiar set of job activities and/or job process to solve a problem.\n\nPosition will train at Brookshire, TX location for approximately 6 months and could be moved to another Houston area location\n\nSchedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm\n\nPay: $20 an hour and up based on experience\n\nJob duties:\n\nAct within the scope of established objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals\n\nUnder the direction of the manager, maintain inventories, conduct physical inventories, maintain location appearance, and complete day-to-day paperwork\n\nWork with vendors and Ferguson shared services division to clear vendor pricing discrepancies\n\nFacilitate customer credit memos with accuracy based on company guidelines\n\nWork WMS Variance and Cycle Count Reconciliation\n\nDevelop or implement quality control programs\n\nImplements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, standardization of systems, quality control, safety, and customer satisfaction\n\nReview customer invoices for pricing and costing accuracy as well as freight billing and costing\n\nOversee the facilities of the operation to provide a safe and well-maintained work environment\n\nPerforms all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures\n\nParticipates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management\n\nQualifications and requirements:\n\n1 - 3 years sales experience is preferred\n\nProficient in Microsoft Excel required, knowledge of Trilogie a plus\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy\n\nSelf-motivated/goal oriented\n\nAbility to effectively multi-task\n\nOrganization and time management skills\n\nExcellent decision making and communication skills\n\nKnowledge of WMS/HighJump prefered but not required\n\nAbility to handle stress\n\nTeam player with good attitude\n\nUnderstands importance of customer service\n\nWillingness to help in other areas, besides operations, when needed\n\nAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
